Dr Mathew Evans is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sheffield. Working with Theme 5 lead Dr Sean Anderson at the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. Mat will be developing and evaluating algorithms for accurate mapping and localisation in challenging buried pipe environments. Dr Evans has a PhD in Machine Learning and Robotics from the University of Sheffield and prior to joining Pipebots he worked for five years in Computational Neuroscience at the Universities of Manchester and Nottingham.
