This launch event is designed to attract wider industry, academic and other stakeholder participation in the recently-awarded £7.2M Programme Grant, a research investment by the UK Government via the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
The underlying aim is to change radically the way that buried pipe infrastructure is inspected and maintained, essentially enabling asset owners to move from primarily reactive to routinely proactive maintenance. This innovation will be achieved through the development and deployment of swarms of miniaturised robots equipped with novel sensors, which will work pervasively and autonomously in millions of kilometres of buried pipes.
You are warmly invited to attend this event to help shape the future of this pioneering and visionary research and contribute early to its academic and non-academic impacts.
The event will take place:
Date: Wednesday 20th November 2019
Time: 12:00 – 19:00
Location: Royal Academy of Engineering, Prince Philip House, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5DG
